Objectives

  1. Manage the work of coaches for the benefit of the sport.
  2. Develop training programs for coaches and conduct exams to determine their qualifications.
  3. Regulate and monitor coach promotions and classifications.
  4. Prepare evaluation files for coaches and classify them.
  5. Propose names of coaches worthy of nomination for Asian or international coaching certifications.
  6. Enhance the technical and tactical levels of coaching.
  7. Increase the number of specialized badminton coaches.
  8. Introduce physical education teachers in schools to the game and equip them with technical and tactical skills.
  9. Coordinate with universities graduating physical education teachers.
  10. Open opportunities for current coaches holding higher-level training certificates to prepare for international coaching certifications, second and third-degree coaching certificates.
  11. Develop a time-bound mechanism for the development and support of coaches over a one to four-year period.
  12. Allow coaches the right to attend training courses abroad at their own expense, subject to presenting the certificate to the administrative body for recognition or classification.
  13. Submit a report for each training course organized or supervised by the committee, including equipment, instructors, participants, and practical suggestions contributing to the improvement of training standards.
  14. Keep coaches informed about the latest theories, techniques, and modern training methods.
  15. Issue cards for coaches approved by the federation, subject to administrative approval.
  16. Present its annual program to the administrative body for approval before the start of the sports year.
  17. Develop training and qualification course programs, exam materials, and submit them to the administrative body for approval.
  18. Coordinate and work with federation committees.

Certificates and Coach Classification

The Lebanese Badminton Federation grants the following certificates:

  1. Certificate of the First Stage of Level 1 National.
    • Awarded to those who pass the preparatory skills course for the first national level. The committee organizes preparatory courses, and upon successful completion, the committee submits a report to the administrative body for approval.
  2. Certificate of Level 1 National Coach.
    • Awarded to those who complete a course related to the technical training program for the first national level, as defined by the Coaches Committee and approved by the administrative body.
    • Awarded to those who complete the Level 1 National Coach course and successfully pass the exam at the end of the training course organized by the Coaches Committee.
  3. Certificate of Level 1 International Coach.
    • Awarded to coaches holding the Level 1 National Coach certificate who undergo a course related to the international technical training program for the first level, as defined by the International Federation.

The committee recognizes certificates issued by the Lebanese Badminton Federation, the Asian Federation, and the International Federation, provided that the certificate is titled “Coach Certificate” and not merely a certificate of attendance or participation.
