The Lebanese Badminton Federation inaugurated the Air Badminton Championship as part of a collaborative agreement with the Lebanese Golf Club, aligning with the federation’s action plan to promote this unique sport across Lebanon. The championship took place at the Lebanese Golf Club, with the presence of the club’s president, Mr. Karim Salam, and members of the federation’s administrative body, including the vice president and head of the Women and Humanitarian Committee, Rola Majzoub Kabbani, Secretary-General Paul Roukz, Treasurer Ali Kazma, General Referee Ghaleb Fakih, and advisory members Nicole Shuairy, Dina Hakim, and Raoul Anton.
The tournament featured elite players in the sport of badminton and was characterized by a festive and familial atmosphere, emphasizing enjoyment over competitive rivalry. The matches showcased notable positivity from all participants, fostering a sense of joy and an increased understanding of the Air Badminton game.
The championship concluded with the distribution of medals to all winners, with the matches overseen by referees Ghaleb Fakih, Mirna Halal, Rodolf Hage, and Miguel Hassoun. The event marked a significant step in introducing and popularizing Air Badminton within the Lebanese sporting community.
